Fall is On Its Way!

What's that you say? Fall's already been going on for a month? Not in Prairieville.
Here, autumn temperatures arrive around late October, early November. I know this sounds like a terrible thing to be excited for, but it'll be in the 70's this week. That means it's almost time for my favorite parts of the season. What are those? I'll tell you!

1. Sweaters!

2. Pumpkin Spice Creamer from Coffee-mate. Which I have yet to find!

3. Black Friday!!
Yes, I am one of those girls.
No, I won't trample anyone to death for a great sale.

4. TV shows starting!
I'm sad to say there are now ten shows I'm addicted to!

And just to be fair to other seasons, things I dislike about fall.
  1. Cracked skin.
  2. Getting bad colds with temperature change.
  3. Everyone laughing at me for listening to Christmas music early.
What about you? What are your favorite and least favorite things about fall?

And now I'm taking a little blogger break. I feel like I've been blogging so much!

To Keep Up with Yesterday's Post...

As I said yesterday, I really am the least motivated person I know when it comes to school. However, tonight's result of this came with me discovering Pinterest! And my discovering Pinterest came with my discovering of everyone's Christmas presents! The one I'm most excited for however is for my boyfriend's parents!
This is the only one I can post so far. All my sneaky friends will just have to wait until Christmas!

I Am the Least Motivated Person Ever!

I recently started a class, Educational Psychology, and I was extremely excited to take it. It's all about motivating children to learn, the differences in certain children, all those good kinds of things. Seeing how I'm an education major, I am just ecstatic about a class like that.

The only thing is, it's an independent study course! It has to be finished by June 2012, and that's literally my only deadline. I'll sit down and look at my super short assignment, and think, "Oh yeah, I can knock this out in no time!" That usually leads to me either

a.) facebook creeping until the sun comes up.

b.) falling in love with all my new blogs I'm obsessed with.

c.) blogging for myself.

d.) spending countless hours on greenweddingshoes.com. (Look it up.)

e.) watching TV shows, especially Say Yes to the Dress.

This tells me, firstly, that I'm addicted to other people's weddings. And secondly, that I need the internet to go out or an act of God to actually finish all these assignments!

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Our electricity went out for a good 4 or 5 hours today, so boyfriend and I had to decide on something to do without it. Usually since we lay around and watch 24 all day, it was a little difficult. My mom's been bugging us lately about carving the pumpkin she bought, so we decided to go for it!

He and I both are extremely addicted to Angry Birds so when we found this amazing blog (with the templates), it was a a no brainer! Since I have been pumpkin-carving-deprived for most of my life, we decided on the red bird so we wouldn't have to do any shaving around the eyes.

This is the beautiful pumpkin chosen for us. That's about as far as I could get with the knife.

As you can see here, boyfriend had to finish up the carving.

Here's all the insides! Thankfully since the pumpkin was a little older, the guts weren't too mushy. We're planning on toasting those seeds tomorrow. I wish our electricity would have let us today!

There's me pretending to cut for the sake of the picture. Pay no mind to my wild hair and pajamas.

And here's the finished product!
Sorry for the horrible quality of the last picture, but I wanted you to be able to see the detail at night.

P.S. On a completely unrelated note, I started listening to Christmas music today as well.
Best.Decision.Ever.

New Blog!!

Hi bloggers! This is my first time on blogspot and I am beyond excited! I've been on tumblr now for a little less than a year, and I kinda hate it. For those of you who haven't been on, it's a lot of high school girls either:
a.) venting about how no one loves them,
b.) posting pornographic gifs, or
c.) posting photography or quotes that is no way relevant to their own lives.
I won't lie, I cheated on tumblr a few times. I kept up with a few outside blogs, and they were always so much better. I was so happy to see my friends with comments on their blogspots, pen pals they had made, and actual giveaways. It was more of a homely, friendly feeling. I kept hoping for it on tumblr, but eventually I just had to give up.
In that way, here I am! I hope you don't find me too boring, or as someone who posts too much. Stay tuned for more updates!
