Sunday Social!

Hello fellow bloggers. Once again, apologizing for the little blogger break, but I promise I'm spending this beautiful day off queueing up some good posts. It's always wonderful coming back for Sunday Socials with the lovely hosts Ashley and Neely!

1. What is your shopping weakness?
American freaking Eagle.
PS Check out this outfit I just bought:

AE WOVEN TANK

AE EMBROIDERED IKAT MINISKIRT

2. What is your food weakness?
My grandma's grilled cheese sandwiches.
PS, one of my first Instagrams EVER, horrible quality!!
3. What is your go to movie to watch when nothing is on?
I honestly don't have one. Usually whatever is in my Netflix queue.
On a separate note, I'm on That '70s Show now, and I secretly believe that I am Kitty Forman.

4. What is your go to breakfast food?
Pancakes and chocolate gravy. That recipe is going to need to be posted soon.

5. Do you drink coffee? If so, how do you take it?
Yes, multiple cups a day. If I make it at home, I just add a little creamer and sugar.
If I go to Starbucks, I get a caffe misto (which is just a fancy cafe au lait) with toffeenut. Yum!

15 Minute DIY to Transform Your Dressers!

Guys, I took a legit blogger break this week. I never quite understood why you ladies need them, until it happened to me! I always found time for blogging even in the craziest weeks. This week however, I worked 70 hours. I was working 15 hour days between my two jobs and it SUCKED. I literally would wake up, go to work, come home, and get straight in bed. Think Tiana from The Princess and the Frog:

Thankfully, both jobs are starting to get an understanding of my availability and it shouldn't get that nuts again.

Anyways, I'm back with a bang! I have a super cute DIY I've been holding onto for awhile, and I'm finally ready to post it. Whenever I moved to NC, I decided to get rid of my horrible outdated dressers. Of course, that meant I needed new furniture, which meant a trip to IKEA!

I got this dresser for $60:
And this one for $40:

A total of $100 for 8 drawers? I can pull that off, IKEA.
My roommates and I built them together, which was a great bonding experience for people who barely knew each other! The dressers were nice, and I was happy to have new furniture, but I kinda found them boring. So I decided to take a twist on an old Pinterest project I had on hand. And to get you a little excited for the project, here's a sneak peek at the finished project:

What you'll need for this project:
Dressers (duh)
Mod Podge
Paint brush
Wrapping Paper
Scissors
Step 1: Cut a piece of wrapping paper about an inch longer than the top on all sides.
Step 2: Using your paintbrush, apply the Mod Podge as evenly as possible to the top of your dresser.

Step 3: Very gently place the piece of wrapping paper on the top of your Mod Podge. Think the way you would apply contact paper or a screen protector. Slow and steady wins the race!

Step 4: Smooth out some of the wrinkles that are bound to come along with the territory.

And voila! A 15 minute craft that's Instagram worthy!
